Ant Man

Aw yeah, Ant Man!  Who is excited to see the new Ant Man movie that just came out? Well I am!  Ant Man is a fun character to draw, but one thing I hate is the costume lines!  The movie version of the costume is so busy looking with all of these lines and random bits of metal on him!  It took me a while just to get started because I am staring at pictures of his costume.

I also started a new experiment of using a thicker black pen (Sharpie Ultra Fine point maker) to draw.  It is different because you lose the ability to get the fine details.  However, the trade off is that you get an excellent, bold black line that really defines the figure better.  Fortunately, I also was able to use smaller pen sizes to capture the fine-line crosshatching.
