College Comics 25

Have we had this problem where we remember all of our testing notes ahead of class and then instantly blank the minute we take the test?  I know I had that problem.  Odds are that the information that she is thinking here is actually something that I had to memorize for a test at the time.

When I am supposed to be working...37

Oh the Red Hood.  His reflective helmet is a lot of fun to draw.  So is his cool-looking leather jacket.  If there is one thing that I am not proud of in this picture is that his right hand is way too small.  Especially when you compare it to his left hand, the right one looks tiny.  But I do like the overall pose of the figure.

I am a little disappointed to say that I have not drawn a Spider-Woman (no relation to Spider-Man), drawing yet.  She has become one of the top Marvel superheroines lately. Also, her costume just looks really cool, even though it does not scream "Spider".

College Comics 24

I don't recall why, but I do remember drawing this with the intent of having it published in the school paper on Valentine's Day.  However, I think that I missed the deadline and I had to sneak in the "Happy belated Valentine's day" note at the bottom.  I curious where I got the name "Clary". Is that even a real name?

After being inspired by my previous Alien Xenomorph picture, I wanted to draw a little bit more detail in the reflective black skin of Venom.

He is a bit more challenging because Venom has more flat skin with no texture, unlike the Xenomorph, which has a lot of bumps and ridges.

After liking the results of my Xenomorph drawing and my Venom drawing, I wanted to draw black clothing.  Clothing is another challenge, since it has folds that makes the light bounce differently off of it.

Incidentally, I can't get enough of drawing Sinestro, since I still think that he is one of the best comic villains ever.

College Comics 23

Here is my attempts at drawing Richard Nixon and Bill Clinton, probably two of the easiest president of the United States to draw (number one being George W Bush).

I am actually having a blast drawing pretty girls in different outfits.  I am not great at coming up with different clothing designs, but my fiancee's fashion blogging business gives me plenty of access to different outfit looks.

This was a quick and easy pencil sketch.  I didn't even have time to finish off her left foot.  Still, I have a blast thinking up of different ways to pose a girl and flip her hair.

When I am supposed to be working...36

I am trying to shake up what I draw recently.  I have drawn women's fashion, but now I wanna draw men's fashion.  I don't know why I haven't thought of this sooner, I clearly know more about men's fashion than women's.

The two models in this picture are Reed Richards and Johnny Storm.  I took great pains to make their faces, body posture, and fashion choices distinct from each other. It is quite fun trying to figure them out.
